About BCET

The Boston College Equestrian Team was created in 1993 by a small group of students. Since then, the team has grown to over thirty members, with many more students expressing interest.

BCET is a community which allows college riders the chance to ride, compete, and bond with their team members. We look for riders who are dedicated and passionate regardless of riding or show experience. Riders of all skill levels are welcomed on the team, as each IHSA division from Walk-Trot to Open Fences needs to be fulfilled.

BCET is a club team and therefore does not do recruitment or aid in admissions processes. We add members based on tryouts that occur in the fall and spring semesters.

We ride out of ABD Equestrian under Coach Allyssa Dean in Norfolk, MA. The facility is about 40 minutes away from the BC campus. Group lessons (usually 2-5 riders per) occur at various times throughout the week to accommodate each member's academic schedule. No need to own a horse! We practice on the school horses at ABD Equestrian.

With the upcoming season, BCET hopes to add fun, athletic, and dedicated riders to the team. We have been successful in our highly competitive region and aim to continue our success in the coming season by journeying to Regionals, Zones, and Nationals.
